I've been having a great time back in my studio working on some new designs!
First up is Georgina Rose, a quilt name after my lovely Mother that first taught me how to sew.
It's a single bed quilt measuring: 152 x 213 cm (60” x 84”) The fabric range is Chloe by Tanya Whelan.
The pattern has detailed instructions to guide you all the way through the chevron piecing, the rose vine appliqué, simple straight line quilting, that is easily achievable and the easy quilt as you go technique that makes constructing this quilt as breeze.
It also includes a pretty matching cushion with my favourite sketchy applique technique but you can stitch it any way you like!
Next is the Penguin Party Cot Quilt and Cushion Set
I'm soooo excited about this one as it's the first pattern that my daughter Alaura and I have designed together.
A very cute quilt made with simple piecing and fusible appliqué that can be blanket stitched by hand or machine. Each block is quilted separately then joined together with my modern quilt as you go technique.
Quilt size: 101 cm (40”) x 120 cm (47) Cushion size: 40 cm (16”) square.
A lot of people ask me "How do you quilt as you go" so it's all here in my new little booklet that is simply named HOW TO QUILT AS YOU GO.
Alaura and I have been working on an exciting new website that will be up and running soon with wholesale and retail facilities.
Oh and one more thing, this is my daughter Alaura, she helps me out between her universities studies.
She's a talented artist and loves to sew too (A mothers dream!)
This is a little project she taught in the kids classes when she was my assistant manager at Hobbysew.
Happy sewing everyone xo
